Lymphatic Drainage Massage

The body’s lymphatic system is a circulatory system (not unlike our blood circulation) that carries a colourless liquid called “Lymph” around the body. This liquid contains white blood cells that help to fight infection and keep the body healthy. The lymphatic system contains a number of Glands as well as the Spleen, Thymus, Tonsils and Adenoids.

A significant number of physical problems can be caused by a sluggish lymphatic system. Lymphatic Drainage Massage treatment seeks to stimulate the system to work better and is excellent for  regular de-toxification or as part of a weight-reducing programme. It is also a gentle and deeply relaxing treatment.

Some of the benefits of Lymphatic Massage are:

·         It boosts the immune system to have optimum health and energy levels

·         It can visibly improve the skin's appearance including dispersal of cellulite, fatty deposits and wrinkles

·         It stimulates the regeneration of new tissue to heal burns, scars, stretch marks and wrinkles

·         It reduces swelling in post-operation cancer patients where lymph nodes have been removed.

·         It speeds recovery after illness, operations or injury

·         It can reduce stiffness and pain in joints (often caused by fluid retention)
