McTimoney Chiropractic

Chiropractic is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculo-skeletal system. The treatment works using spinal manipulation or adjustments.

McTimoney Chiropractic is a relatively gentle and holistic method of adjusting the bones in the body to maintain the correct alignment of the spine. Chiropractic care can relieve pain and discomfort, increase mobility and provide a route to better health. Chiropractors use only their hands to make adjustments and the key to the McTimoney approach is the speed and accuracy of the adjustments.

Chiropractic can help with a wide range of problems, including:

  • Back neck and shoulder problems
  • Joint, postural and muscular problems
  • Leg pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches

Chiropractic is also a successful preventative therapy, and when used in this way can greatly improve bodily health and well being and many patients are now receiving maintenance care in order to prevent minor problems becoming greater. Chiropractors are also skilled at giving advice on posture, working, driving and sleeping positions and exercise.

We have five McTimoney Chiropractors here at the WNTC, please scroll down below to read more information about each of them.

I am a competitive track and cross country runner in my 50′s and have had a lifelong battle with biomechanical problems. I started having McTimoney chiropractic treatment about six years ago. After having several intensive sessions initially, I now find that Tony’s monthly treatments keep me in order. The McTimoney chiropractic treatment suits me with its holistic approach and Tony’s expertise means he is able to control my migraines as well as realign my body (pelvis, back and shoulders in particular). He is well trained in sports injury management and he is able to treat the recurring muscular problems I get when I am training hard. – Gwyneth H, Wantage
I was recommended to see Tony four years ago during a period of severe back pain. Tony’s advice and treatment over the last four years has improved my posture and flexibility and perhaps even more importantly helped me to understand how to look after myself day to day. – Nick R, Oxford

I know, as an avid sports person, that I have subjected my body to stresses, strains & injuries that, had I not found such a great practitioner in Dan I would not now be playing my twice weekly 18 holes of golf (my relatively new sporting passion) and still be enjoying snow and waterskiing.
I had a car accident which led to me suffering from very bad back pain. I had tried physio before and was sceptical about seeing a Chiropractor because I didn't think anything could help ease the pain. The service I received was excellent. I got some great advice about how to improve my posture to ease the pain. The treatment was the most helpful that I'd had since my accident and to this day, I haven't had the recurring aches and pains I used to get. I would definitely recommend Dan to anyone who is serious about their health.
